Peanut Night – Christmas in Marceline

November 29 @ 10:00 am - 8:00 pm

A Small-Town Tradition with Big Heart

In our small Missouri town of Marceline, community traditions matter. This is a place where memories span generations and families stay rooted. We measure the year by the calendar, by seasons, and also by the events that bring our town together. Among those traditions, there are a few that are uniquely “Marceline” as Peanut Night – a celebration that has been held since 1961.

10-5 Holiday Craft Frenzy at Walsworth Community Center.  Serving food all day!

11:30-1:30 Pet pictures with Santa, Linn County Leader Office (former Murray’s Store)

4:00-? Free hot chocolate and cookies at Masonic Lodge.  Also serving chili for a suggested donation of $5 to the Ministerial Alliance.

5:30 Peanut Sales begin downtown.  There’s a prize in every bag!

5:55 Yule Log, Welcome, and Blessing of the holiday season in Ripley Park.

6:00 Santa arrives at Ripley Park and turns on Christmas Lights!
